Our partner Zyrcular Foods, a company dedicated to the production, development and distribution of alternative protein-based foods, has decided to donate 5,000 plant-based burgers of its own production to the HORECA sector (hotels, restaurants and cafes).
This was announced by the CEO of Zyrcular Foods, Santi Aliaga, at the 18th AECOC Congress of the HORECA sector held this Thursday in Madrid: “We make available to the foodservice sector a total of 5,000 free vegetable protein burgers of own production, to show our support to a sector that is going through a complex and complicated time”. With this action, Zyrcular Foods wants to help strengthen the presence of products that attract consumers flexitarians, vegetarians and vegans in the restaurant sector.
“We want to contribute to the recovery of the HORECA channel from our field, with the aim of strengthening the sector after this difficult period; contributing to the loyalty of new audiences”, added Aliaga.
Initially, the management of Zyrcular Foods thought of making this donation to restaurant businesses in Osona and Lleida, where the company has its production plant and base of operations. Finally, it has been decided to extend it to the sector throughout the state, taking advantage of the celebration of the AECOC congress.
To benefit from this proposal, companies wishing to receive these plant-based burgers must register on a form available on Zyrcular Foods ’Linkedin between 22 and 30 April, where they must provide proof of their business data. Delivery of orders will take effect between 1 and 15 June.

It should be remembered that Zyrcular Foods has recently launched an alternative protein production plant in the town of Seva, in the region of Osona (Barcelona). The facilities have a sustainable construction and use entirely green energy to minimize their emissions. The initial productive capacity amounts to 1 million kilos per year.

The vegetable-based or plant-based burgers of our own production that Zyrcular Foods makes available to the catering sector are cod-flavored, chicken-flavored and bovine-flavored.
