VALACTICAT: We have reached 30% development of the Valacticat project

We have reached 30% development of the Valacticat project, where the following tasks have already been carried out:

· Nutritional characterization of serum samples and the recovery options have been defined.

· Study and optimize basic operations to manage serum and recover fractions of interest within the food sector.

The main objective of the VALACTICAT project is to study different simple fractionation processes or serum fermentation processes in order to offer a technologically and economically viable solution for the recovery of this by-product in companies that produce low volumes and are currently managed as waste.

With the participation of BETARA, Grup Ametller Origen i Eurecat – Centro Tecnológico de Catalunya. Aid obtained by EAFRD funds from the European Union and the DARP from the Generalitat de Catalunya.
