NEW ASSOCIATES: GRUP CARINSA AND CARNÉ GASTRONOMIA

Grupo Carinsa is a multinational Catalan industrial group that, for more than 27 years, has been dedicated to the development, manufacture and marketing of aromas, functional ingredients and technological solutions for human and animal food, as well as fragrances for the world of perfumery and cosmetics.

Grupo Carinsa’s main goal is to improve consumer well-being through sensations. To achieve this, the group’s business strategy is based on three main pillars: internationalization, specialized diversification, and R & D & I, where up to 20% of profits are invested annually. Grupo Carinsa is present in 4 of the 5 continents, and its products are marketed in 57 international markets.

Grupo Carinsa has multiple business units, both nationally and internationally, and different disruptive startups. Its own extensive ecosystem that allows it to offer its customers an innovative and personalized service.

 

Carné Gastronomia are distributors of delicatessen products for restaurants and specialty shops in Barcelona and the province. We are manufacturers of truffles and mushrooms with distribution throughout Spain.

CARNÉ GASTRONOMIA, SLU is the result of the merger between Conservas Carné and Carolls Distribucions, with an interesting history.

Conservas Carné, S.A., was founded in 1965 by Santiago Carné, who chose to engage in an activity completely unknown to him. Against the whole family, he left his secure job as an industrial mechanic and embarked on the exciting world of TRUFFLE.

The beginnings were very difficult, as it was an almost clandestine world, but little by little he paved a path where he began to export to France, the quintessential TRUCK consuming country.

As the TRUFFLE only occupied him for the winter season, he became interested in wild MUSHROOMS and discovered another fascinating world. Together with his wife they went to campaign in the spring and autumn of each year in different areas of Spain, from Galicia to Andalusia, until they settled in a village in the Sierra de Aracena (Huelva) and from from there they exported the MUSHROOMS to France, Italy and Germany.

Then the TRUFFLES and MUSHROOMS began to appear timidly in the shops and restaurants of Spain and decided to enter the national market making all possible elaborations and varieties canned, dehydrated and frozen.

Based on this decision, in 1988 a distributor was created to sell Conserves Carné products in Barcelona and the province. Shortly afterwards, his clientele asked him to provide them with items to delight the palate of good gourmet, such as foie gras, salmon, caviar, anchovies, balsamic vinegars and others that in those years were hard to find, as there was no mobiles, no internet, not so many food fairs and the distances seemed longer.

CARNÉ GASTRONOMIA, with 30 years of experience behind it, has managed to create a loyal clientele, thanks to the efforts of its entire team, including suppliers.

We specialize in supplying delicatessens, tapas bars, restaurants, caterers and hotels with star products such as: Truffles, Mushrooms, Foie gras, Confit, Anchovies, Smoked Salmon, 4th Range, Cannelloni, Croquettes, and many more.
