Last Thursday, December 27, the Foodservice Cluster together with the Gourmet Cluster brought with seven companies interested in integrating possible export routes, thanks to the Vinaio Imports company, headquartered in New York.
This company is owned by Joan Altés, who has a great experience of more than 25 years in the American market with regular clientele, distribution network, sales force and warehouse of 5,000 m2 in Manhattan.
The proposal comes from the great acceptance that Catalan products have in the American market. The attractiveness of the “Barcelona” brand and the opportunity of the Vinaio Importes customer portfolio, makes this demand for Catalan products arise.
Although the American market is highly regulated, Vinaio Imports offers all its experience to facilitate adaptation to regulations. In the beginning, it was agreed, beyond each case, to carry out pilot tests in chains of restoration such as: Socarrat or La Boqueria and in this way, to be able to observe the acceptance of the products before studying other commercial action plans.
We believe that it is a very good opportunity for partner companies that are interested in selling their product in the American market, without making a large initial investment. The owner of Vinaio Imports, is open to study any type of proposal or agreement that is of interest.
