The European Cluster Collaboration Platform (ECCP) promoted by European Commission (CE), organized jointly with PwC an event in Zagreb (Croatia) to explore common areas of interest for cooperation between different value chains and markets.
Five clusters of the Clusters.cat network and members of the Catalonia Clusters from ACCIÓ programme, participated in the meeting. Foodservice Cluster (food), Indescat (sport), CEEC (energy), Habitat (interior products) and Packaging Cluster (packaging), were selected among other international clusters to participate in the meeting.
The meeting was also attended by individual meetings between more than 65 participating clusters, from 21 countries: 6 from Balkan countries, and 15 from the rest of the European Union. Ulla Engelmann, head of the social economy of the EC, highlighted the presence of the Catalan clusters: “Impressive representation of Catalan Clusters – Wishing you good matches and opportunities to grow”. The place also served as a meeting to exchange views and opinions with the cluster policy makers of the EC.
Attend in the event facilitates the participation in upcoming calls for European Projects to further strengthen cluster entities and member companies; connects the clusters internationally creating network with entities; and put the territory and it’s sectors in the map at European level.
